BIO181: General Biology for Biology Majors I

You are REQUIRED
to enroll in my Modified Mastering Biology course, which is a
website that contains assignments for you to complete as part of
this course. Enrolling in the course requires paid access to
MyLab and Mastering. If you purchase FULL access, the Mastering
course will also include electronic access to Campbell Biology
in Focus (the course textbook). It is also possible to purchase
cheaper access to the course, in which case you will NOT have
access to the electronic version of the textbook. Overall, you
have at least five options.
Option 1:
Purchase minimal access, and use no textbook.
Option 2:
Purchase full access and use the e-text version of Campbell
Biology in Focus (instead of a hard copy).
Option 3:
Purchase, rent, or borrow a used copy of Campbell Biology in
Focus. Your additional access to the e-text will depend on your
purchase option when enrolling in Mastering.
Option 4:
Purchase, rent, or borrow a used copy of some other biology
textbook that you think you can understand well (some choices
are shown below). Your additional access to the e-text will
depend on your purchase option when enrolling in Mastering.
Option 5:
Purchase a new copy of Campbell Biology in Focus from the EMCC
bookstore. Your additional access to the e-text will depend on
your purchase option when enrolling in Mastering.
If you don't already have access to Mastering Biology, then you
will need to purchase access first. In either case, start by logging on to Canvas and
choosing your BIO181 course.
Within the Canvas course, choose the MyLab and Mastering link,
then use links on that page to enroll in my course. After
enrolling, you will use Canvas to access the Mastering course
throughout the term. DO NOT
TRY ANY OTHER METHOD OF ENROLLING IN MY MASTERING COURSE.
If you run into any problems and need to contact Pearson
support, be sure to let the representative know that this is a
Modified Mastering Biology course that is linked to Canvas at
EMCC.
